McGilp’s Pop Up Shop

We were very fortunate to be offered a week in the McGilp’s Pop Up Shop in Gourock at the beginning of the month thanks to Bruce Newlands. It was a great week of meeting people popping in to find out about the Inverclyde Community Gardens and to take away some free vegetables and herbs from the gardens (although most folk kindly donated towards them and the proceeds will be used to buy seeds and plants for next year’s crops). Blooming Inverkip had created a stunning autumn planter that took pride of place in the window and was generously donated as a raffle prize.

There was lots of interest in the gardens and we hope to have a few new volunteers as a result!
