Visit to Glasgow Communtiy Food Network and Wash House Garden

Members of ICFN and the community gardens had a fantastic visit to Glasgow thanks to Don from Belville, driving us all up in their minibus! We had a meeting wth Glasgow Community Food Network at their base in the Kinning Park Complex, learning about their activities and projects and exchanging ideas. It’s really useful to have connections with other food networks to learn new approaches to encourage community food growing.

We then visited the Wash House Garden for a tour where we were treated to lunch - delicious soup made from garden produce, cooked over the fire in their amazing covered area. The garden is really productive, growing enough for community veg boxes and well worth a visit.
